I am sooo excited to bring this list of some of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes to you. My hope is that you will find some recipes that work for you and your family in this list. Enjoy!
Appetizer
When you have so much to get ready already a nice and easy Southwest Ranch dip, like this one from Peace, Love and Low Carb, and some veggies is the perfect appetizer for people who can’t wait for the main event. She has lots of other dip recipes too if you want to make a couple.
If you want to make it dairy free try adding a little coconut (or other non-dairy) yogurt.
Sides
Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without the sides! I’m partial to the sweet potatoes myself but I know lot’s of people need their green bean casserole and cranberry sauce so here you go.
The green bean casserole comes to you courtesy of Keto Connect who healthified this dish full of questionable ingredients (and gluten). This version is fantastic if you are watching your carbs and are eliminating gluten. If you want to go dairy free as well then swap the cream for coconut cream (or dairy alternative -though you may need a little more xanthun gum) and butter for ghee or coconut oil.
Sweet Potato casserole is my JAM! If I could just dig into this with a spoon and leave the rest I would, I’d also rather just have more than pie, is that weird? This recipe from Nesting With Grace is perfect! No junky ingredients but still all they yummy goodness of sweet potato casserole. Also I LOVE that it has coconut butter in it, MMMMM Yumm!
Brussels sprouts are a mixed bag for people but if you make this recipe then I think you’ll have some converts at the table. I might be partial but I think this is the best recipe for Sprouts and it happens to come from my website. Check out the recipe HERE (steak not included-haha).
Cranberry sauce is sort of a toss up, some love it, some don’t care. Well, if you are in the “I love it” camp then here is a simple recipe for you from A Clean Bake. It’s not quite as easy as opening a can but it’s pretty close. I use an orange instead of the mandarin and a little less maple syrup, but that’s me. She also has some great subs if you wanna go sugar free, cook it in a crockpot etc. I usually make it on the stove -easy peasy.
Stuffing is another of my favorites at Thanksgiving time but since going g-free I haven’t found one I love yet…. until now! This one from the Health Extremist is just like the stuffing I used to make but g-free. The best part is you can use the bread that YOU like whether it’s made from scratch or boughten. This also doubles as a non g-free recipe with regular bread.
Dinner rolls are tough to find g-free AND tasty but these rolls from Keto Connect (making a 2nd appearance on this list) are phenomenal! I absolutely love them and have them stashed in my freezer on the regular! If you need some dinner rolls at your Thanksgiving meal then these are a winner!

Main Event
Everyone makes turkey how they like it and this is NOT a recipe to make turkey but more a recipe how to COOK it. If you’ve never spatchcocked a turkey you haven’t lived-haha! 🙂
It takes a little prep but it pays off in my opinion. It cooks faster so that your turkey doesn’t dry out while the thicker parts get done. This how to by The Cookie Writer is really good so if you’re feeling adventurous this year give it a try, you won’t regret it!
Gravy is a MUST for turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. This recipe from Raising Generation Nourished is fantastic and uses bone broth which you know I’m a fan of. You can use the type of flour you prefer for thickening it. I also have her book and it is great! To be honest sometimes I just toss it in a blender with my mirapoix (carrot, onion, celery) from the roasting the turkey/chicken and let that thicken it. Give that a try too if you are feeling adventurous.
Pie
Pumpkin pie is a MUST at our Thanksgiving and I usually make a g-free one for myself and my cousin/aunt to enjoy.
Here is a great recipe from Gluten Free Palate and she has a gluten free crust too but I really like this one from Tasty Yummies. If you prefer there are some good ones you can buy too if making your own is out of your wheelhouse.
Well, I think that concludes this recipe roundup with all things Thanksgiving. Hopefully you find some in here that you like and make this year.
